S2S For Dancers

Strength for the Art of Movement

DANCE IS DIFFERENT

So is the way we evaluate movement.

Dance places unique demands on the body. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy understand how strength, mobility, alignment, control, and dance-specific movement work together.

Whether preparing for pointe, building strength, managing pain, recovering from injury, or working toward stronger performance, S2S supports dancers at every stage.

THREE WAYS WE SUPPORT DANCERS

From preparing for pointe to building strength, enhancing performance, and returning from injury.

PRE-POINTE SCREENING

Strength • Mobility • Alignment • Balance • Control

Assess readiness, identify individual needs, and prepare for the demands of pointe.

PILATES FOR DANCERS

Core • Hips • Feet • Ankles

Build the strength, control, and stability dancers need for turns, leaps, extensions, and demanding choreography.

DANCE PHYSICAL THERAPY

Recover • Restore • Return to Dance

Address pain and injury with dance-specific rehabilitation designed to restore movement and support a confident return to training and performance.

IS YOUR DANCER
READY FOR POINTE?

Pointe readiness is about more than age or years of training. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy evaluate the strength, mobility, alignment, balance, and control needed to safely progress to pointe.

A Pre-Pointe Screening evaluates:

✓ Strength and control of the feet and ankles
✓ Lower-extremity alignment
✓ Balance and single-leg control
✓ Core and hip stability
✓ Mobility needed for dance-specific positions

Your path to greater movement.

Every year, more than 1,000 people walk through the doors of S2S and we want you to be one of them.
